I was traveling through the sands of life When I bumped into "It" of all the creatures It's face-pack would have impressed me too Had I not seen through the animal's features
It stood distinguished from the milder of earth's occupants The King of the Jungle it seemed to ape For ego and machismo echoed in its footsteps The sheer sight of it, ridiculed the thought of escape
As its roar thundered, decency took to its heels The pitch drowning the languished cries of the doomed Who dared to offend this symbol of power For, to establish oppression, it was groomed
It watched the more fortunate feed well The feline eyes brimming over with jealousy Fury accentuating the brightness of its eyeballs "Death", the starred eyes told, was their prophecy
"Kill" was the one word on its mind And with great ferocity, I must say, it tried Its mane rising with the fever of satisfaction And thick whiskers curling with pride
Like a serpent it slipped away unperturbed After its fangs had pecked at its enemy By Jove, few knew of its true colors For, like a chameleon, it was cunning and slimy
Greed had gnawed away at its morals And left it an unscrupulous sinner Who fastened its life-belt to its victims Like a leech, sucking blood for dinner
This four-limbed animal was like a vulture Living on Weak sweat and blood This more versatile of God's creatures Was none other than a human with flesh and blood!!
