I pass through a maze of thoughts
With desire reaching out it's clamps
Amidst bushes of timeless constraint
Keeping in tune with my virile steps
I run amidst thorns with angst
By my bedside I have a lamp
Burning through the night
Shedding it's light into my darkness
The river of peace and calmness overflows
As it trickles from my forehead
Down the mountains of torment
Pacifying them into plateaus of perfect tranquility
Leaping from the cliff of faith
I land on my feet on the banks of betrayal
And even though I feel the pull of the sand
I can walk to the edge of the water of forgiveness
I fly towards the skies of freedom
And I glide amongst the winds of attachments
Without a speck of it on my wings
I soar higher and higher in my bliss
The view from the mountaintop is pure
Nature at it's best without me
A sea of serenity awaiting the impure
That ate the forbidden fruit with abundance
I dip my hand into life and come up with nothing
I understand the point of life with it
I swim in the sea of impurities
And come out dry on the banks of disillusion
