The earth will not speak as I depress my feet into it's thick skin pressing with my weight It voices no readily discernible opinions waiting as it has always waited an observer really watching and waiting
And then one day as it has always been unexpectedly it cries out incensed by the abuse it bears
It waited patiently as it had before and now it presses back It's weight bearing on our shoulders
