Silence pushes memories across my heart,
when the lonely twosome ran across the stretch,
holding hand in hand making their way towards the horizon,
expressing feelings of the heart but not through words.
Being a company, sharing the world with each other,
comforting and consoling one another by mere presence.
A love-story thus began that was never supposed to end
devoid of death, breath and life; it was true and pure.
Walking across the boulevard with a majestic trot,
eyes gleamed and gaped at the lovely couple,
with every step taken together, promises grew stronger,
a bond of love held fast the two tender hearts together.
Singing duets all the way, their love seemed ever increasing
It was still the hearts that spoke, words were just glamour.
There was a swear already taken, deep in the corner of the heart
'I accept' was only what was said, and sealed with a tender kiss.
Fate rolled the dice, time parted the two;
Lost in two different worlds far from one another
Where companionship ended with a treachery
and one let go the others hand to follow his dreams.
With no one to hear her woes she lies still,
eyes hunting the roads and lanes for the one she loved.
Torn apart by the separation, the other heart still bleeds,
the companionship is now gone; and the romance still continues. |
