The Story of Us

The drops of dew that make the grass so pristine,
Shields their coyness.
When you clasp my hands
I feel so free, yet so tied in unison with your soul!
I am so at peace,
Convinced that I have not disturbed what is in your dream…
And maybe I do see your dream, too!
There is no ice that lasts against the strike of lightening and fire
But if we see together
The day breaking over the distant sky,
Fall in love with a place where we can leap in frolic,
and go beyond the horizon of passion…
still see the "us" we were during the wee hours
of the previous morning,
even when the shadows of dusk descend-
Maybe we wouldn’t let the ice melt!
I wish us happiness and luck,
For we would be walking through the door
That opens into that dew-tipped grass
The majestic unknown height of the sun,
And the unsolved mystery of togetherness!
I can never stress what you deserve,
But, to be loved, and fondly loved
To the far away years,
With what joined our hands together once and for all-
We became richer
Giving all to each other!
