This constant chasing of illusions !!
Trying to catch and own and hold
something known
but unseen unheard and untold.
It appears from nowhere
in your life's horizon
where dream and reality seem
to be in complete union.
You recognize it as
something that you know
something that u desire
something that u have always dreamed of
something to die for and
for a while
it looks so very real
it feels very real too.
But as the time goes by
the colors fade away
restoring the dullness of your life,
the shine wears away
revealing the plain old junk beneath,
the feelings go away
leaving
a hole
a vacuum
a zero
a zone of nothingness
inside you.
What appeared to be yours to stay
u suddenly realize is so far far away.
And once again
to replace that vacuum
u begin the search and the chase
to catch and own and hold
yet another illusion.
