I may have mentioned this before, but every
process has a point, and is thus defined
in point-like simplicity of reference:
to brush one’s teeth, to say one’s prayers,
to do one’s shopping, watch TV, or read
a book, whose title sums up whose content –
all activity is really a moment in the summary.
Like objects identified as what they are
in point-like simplicity, a toothbrush,
a prayer-book, shopping-bag, or car, actions
are the same: to remind us that process
is the path to identity, that done
as hard and unique as physical form –
all activity is really a moment in the summary.
Objects indeed sum up actions and thence
are understood – table, chair, cooker, basin,
define related processes, identify them
in point-like simplicity: as do houses,
cities, countries, worlds; the last judgment
takes place in the twinkling of an eye -
all activity is really a moment in the summary.
The present is such a moment, the past,
the future, everything at any time
Is in the point-like simplicity of process
whose end was from the beginning known,
present, and working towards, whose moment
is eternal in achievement of which
all activity is really that moment in the summary.
