There are somethings that need to be told Though I neither want to berate or scold But as a friend I have to very clearly say That you cannot nonchalantly walk away From your wife in a manner so unkind Without leaving any message behind
She wrote you several letters last night She started by explaining her sad plight Ever since you left on that winter night She has been ill and in a state of fright Maybe you can at least try to be polite And telephone her if you cannot write
There are times when she truly regrets Having trusted you the first time she met You promised her that she was the only one Whom you had ever loved and it was fun To be able to share your life with her And now you simply choose to disappear
Well she is truly at her wits end and may take Some drastic steps which will keep you awake For many long nights to come unless you act And pick up your phone to explain with tact Why you left so suddenly without telling her And what your plans are for the future
