Endless ‘info-current’
Passing through all this
Is the football
Inflated by the globe
Kicked, carried and propelled
The friendly football
Amidst this frenzy
There is poor Paul
The octopus picked away from its sea-home
Trapped and made an oracle
Baited to predict
If it failed …would be ‘tried’ and ‘fried’
Neither a prophet nor a saint
But the eight-legged wonder’s prediction
Made ministers speak
Football and the Octopus are not humans
Sadly humans are not so human
Paul or Pablo...Let’s kill it
Long live the octopus!
Let’s win a goal
But not lose our soul!
Congrats for yet another poem ! How true ! The prophecy holding the human race ! How susceptible we are, the most intelligent, the most capable, also, the most vulnerable to all those unexplainable prophecies !

Thanks Madhaviji for the nice poem. This is how a poem can make others "see, hear and feel" about the contemporary happenings. Your message: "Let's us win a goal/But not lose our soul!" is highly commendable and convincing.
