Astitva

Ma …The Mother
The creator
The wonder
A magical reality
Truth
Beauty

But also…

A woman
A wife
Vulnerable
Susceptible
Identity less

For some…

Cheaper by the dozen
More the merrier

I pray to you my Goddess

The *Simhavahini

At least sometimes
Lend us your armed arms
And your hungry tongue
To devour the evil

O!* Mahishasura Mardhini

Revive us
Refresh us
Relieve us!

Comment Very good presentation on Astitva.A lot of thanks. Please see my poem "Listen O! Rapist "
which shows that a woman can take steps
against tortures if she wants. It depends upon
her.Work can not be done only folding
hands for beg.If you feel hurt due to my comment,
please excuse me.

Comment Amen! May the goddess bless us all and grant us peace.
The poem is indeed a great piece of work!! It reaches out to identify various forms in which a woman simultaneously exists in the society and continues to spread love in spite of the presence of evil. The poet appeals to the almighty to overcome the weakness and we must appreciate the poet's command on the language for the way it has been expressed in the poem.

Comment Takes me back into the memory lanes of my experiences with my mother...my sister...my wife...and all those in whom I have seen the goddess in a woman The poem touches the heart delicately and speaks of the insecurity of women in the current society and how vulnerable their plight is in certain circumstances...
