I don't remember when...
you lit the fire of love in my heart
A fire which soon engulfed me
passions raged
I burnt in their delightful heat
never realizing it was love that was burning
until the smoke choked me
until I realized-we were playing games
hollow useless games
And the beautiful love lay burnt to ashes
and passionate memories still smolder me
as I gaze at these lifeless ashes
Ashes which were once my life
now run through my fingers - mocking me
the fire had long died out
but the embers are still warm -
so uncannily warm.
