An Insight Inside

Opened eyes, to a gentle sound,

Unaware of happenings, happening around,

Mum shook me out of slumber,

And cool breeze touched the face so supple.

When strands of hair,

Came as a veil on face,

In a moment,

I was in another space.

Where, there is no one

Except me,

Birds chirping

And, taking flight in extreme glee.

The sun never sets,

The breeze never stops,

The sight of sea,

Leaves me in plaintive thoughts.

Why always

Happiness accompanies pain?

Why souls come

When they are destined to be chained?

Why amongst crowd

I want to be alone?

Why, when alone

I want someone close?
