Ganga Release

Swarga,
Moksha,
Pradaganaga,
I touch your tepid water
And perform a
Thousand-horse sacrifice.

You are my Rigveda,
My never wilting
Palm-leaf manuscript
My tulsi patra
My Brahma kamandalu
My Jahnavi, my ancient home.

You come from the heavens
Through the Himalayas
To captivate my senses
And entice me
Into the Ganga Sagar,
In a mellifluous release.
