Life itself is motivation
Whether it is a humble frog
Or the majestic dragon

Even the autumn leaves
Dance on a spider string
And beat the coming blizzard

The moon rises above the clouds,
And spreads its light
On a crouching cat

Even within the brief silence
Of human activity at night
Crickets celebrate

The unwelcome winter rain
Leaves behind a strange music
Along the eaves of houses

In simple things
