Theme: Ecstasy

Joys of Life

Will anyone kill a butterfly
or pull out the first petal
the bud in joy unfolds?

Will anyone throw stones
at the moon,
or pluck off the stars
if they come down to twinkle
on the branches of our mango trees?

No, never and never...

Love too is a butterfly,
borrowing your shapely eyebrows
it flies teasingly
into the sky wthin me...

Love too is a bud,
when its first petal is about to open,
it slips out of your almond eyes
to land securely in mine...

Love too is a moon,
pushing aside the clouds
of your soft silky curls,
it tip toes into my arms...

Love too is a constellation of stars,
radiating from your twinkling eyes,
it sprays sparks of the fireworks
to brighten up my heart...
