Theme: Loneliness

Lonesome

It’s such a waste of time
Staying away from you;
Feels like the world is a void,
Full of emptiness,
That’s why I am lonely
Even in a crowd!

My restlessness escapes through yells
But what about my misery?
The scalds of your absence
Burn the core of my heart.
The silence life has created for me
Seems to be never ending.

Even the pillow can feel
The tears of my deep-rooted agony,
Even the walls can hear
The tale of my loneliness.
Even the nights can sense
The secret sighs of my soul.

I am totally fed up now,
I want you back badly,
As I can’t handle it any more
Please come back to me.
Well if you don’t, then tell me
Do you want me to be lonesome lifelong?

Comment Thank you so much.
@Mallick Sir: I have got the prince of my life & all characters in the poems I write are usually fictional. Thanks for all your wishes.
Love,
Rupa

Comment Gerard Manley Hopkins the English poet summed it up in the line, 'it is Margaret you mourn for.' The things we identify as other are created within ourselves. The loved one is an act of personal affection, the actual person an other whom physical contact with must amount to an anti-climax that with the passing days substantialises itself as something less than the ideal object of our imagining; then the test of true love commences.

Comment No, you shall not be lonesome lifelong. The prince of your life will soon come on a winged chariot to fly you up into the sky of happiness and joy. You shall breathe the fresh air of romaance. Love and best wishes.
