Theme: Quest

A Pilgrim's Quest

'The trail the great men leave behind',
they say, 'is the path.' and their footprints
are the milestones on the way.
But how can we then believe,
'All the roads lead to Rome?'
Is there not even one to reach my home?

When I searched the map quest
on the friendly internet,
I found none, no roads at all -
airways, sea routes and mountain passes.
No road to reach His heart!

A message was flashed instead,
'Clear the thorny bushes of evil thoughts,
turn away the stones of dead habits
and spread a layer of love to walk on.

His heart is not too far.
The road is trodden by just a few,
and therefore it needs
every time to be laid anew.
