April Fools' Day

It is a great pleasure

to fool a friend

to renew friendship,

and an enemy

to usher a new relationship

A hearty laugh we have

to fool a pretty thing

saying, 'Darling, have you lost something?'

'Your head, besides dung is there anything?'

And happily we wish

how nice it will be

to lose the head 'in her thoughts',

on this lovely April Fools' Day

without any 'ifs and buts'...
