Sitting in this chair, in the cool of evening,
I remark on the huge clutter that is
the world, on the vast fields of what is known
of people and events in images.
Of what is ongoing in countries round
the world at this time, so fully proportioned
do events appear, they rise unbound
as reality in imagination.
The sure comprehension of that which is
brings peace and equanimity, no doubt
the world is demonstrated as it is,
here decided, from right here all spreads out.
It cannot be but that each of us so
feels, quietly assumes the same for all,
the world is thus the common place we know,
in each mind the one spirit forms it all. |
