In our late thirties well settled as a family
To further rise up the ladder was our thirst
Somewhere along our path there appeared a distraction
Too eye-catching!
It struck a rhythm in our hearts
Cracks began to show on our rock of family union
Our weak knees bent towards each other
So convoluted difficult to hide
All the same we tip toed into each other’s being
And now we marvel how we unite as one
As we continue to parallel run our lives of righteousness
