The pair of lips
to receive the first kiss
wouldn't have guessed ever
that love would be so enchanting
to thrill one's each and every pore.
The first rain drop
to touch the ground
wouldn't have guessed ever
that it could fill the wells,
the irrigation tanks,
the lakes, the rivers,
the seas and oceans to the brim
and the earth with meadows and forests
would come alive and turn green.
The golden rays
on the first daybreak
wouldn't have guessed ever
that they would fill vision in every eye
colours in every flower
paint rainbow in the sky
make day and night
and fill warmth in every heart.
The first mother-to-be
wouldn't have guessed ever
what in a child's smile lies!
till she sees the buds of innocence
to blossom into hopes and joys
to fill every life with divine grace...
In small measures by tiny blocks
the universe has been built,
why not we open our eyes
to know who are we ? and see
beyong our guess what within us lies!!
