It’s best not to make comparisons
Sometimes I do, I feel miserable
Twist it into transitory moments of stupidity
My joy of triumphant exhilaration
Enlivens me to face reality
My days are numbered here on earth I realize
Shall endear all ups and downs in a kindly way
Most often however avarice butts in
Calm orientations are thrown out
Emotions play ball on an ice ring
I find myself slipping unending
Till caution steps in with a sense of concern
Patting me saying calm down calm
Remember it’s a bonus you are still living at sixty three
