The Ice Effect*

An icy voice greeted him
Each word, were it to fall
Would have formed an icicle
On the opaque window pane

He realises that her age is really
Beginning to cloud her attitude
She believes that all the family
Should be rotating around her

But that is not about to happen
So she uses her only true weapon
Her tongue, to make a strong point
Only time will tell if her tactic works
