A proud self-righteous mother was I
Till my son put me to shame and humiliation
I nurtured him an honest humble human being
Amidst well-brought-up friends in school and our neighborhood
He networked with folks and smsed all the time
What’s so interesting child? I would ask
No answer, just laughter
Sometimes happy sometimes nasty
Time pass was his way to show
Time waste was not his cup of tea
Yet in his heart he was mean and vengeful
Till the cops nabbed him red handed
He now serves a life term in prison
Remorse beyond his conscience
