Dear sir, as I commence to write,
I recall that as a man breathes air
he to a life aspires that is his right;
and in a mind I see the vision fair
of all men gathering from the darkness
into the light, bestowing on all there
an equal favour and a comeliness
that draws affection irresistible,
and makes one's whole heart yearn the timeliness
that is this present time, to enable
the vision to become reality,
the dream of peace on earth amenable
to a form of universality
that is the sweetness of the air one breathes,
and peace, the dream, the actuality.
And peace the dream the actuality. |
