Day two of freedom basking in new hope -
believing in myself at last, long last.
I'm holding tight to faith, I aim to cope -
enjoy today, tomorrow's coming fast.
What will tomorrow bring? Day number three.
I have the will to face what may arrive.
This life had better make some room for me.
I am not dead. I'll prove Im still alive.
Day four, day five ... anticipation's high.
My mind is clear of nets and knots because
a sense of peace has been restored and I -
I am as clean as drug-free ever was.
Days six, day seven, eight, nine and then ten.
I never thought I'd count this high, again!
