A Design or an Accident?

Why is it
we do not consider
the chirrups of the birds at dawn
an accident but a volcano to be one?

In the frozen arctic
under a veneer of ice
is the zone of warmer water
an accident or a design for the fishes
to breathe and breed?

In the vast expanse of the desert
is oasis an accident
or a design for mini creatures to survive
and cactii to thrive?

In the vast creation
where avenues of time criss-cross
was that bylane where we met
a design or an accident?
