Amma-Appa

Amma Appa
Where are you?
How great was it
With all of you?

How sad it is
With all but you?
Home had a meaning
When you were home
Home had a life
But life has no home.

What else could I
Need that gives pleasure
Except your lovely
Palms and holy advices.

Amma Appa
I justified my position as pa
I don’t know whether
My kids would be as me.

Though I am old
I am still your kid
Though I am rotten
You're in my heart's bottom.

Please bless me
Please bless me
I wish you both are
Always with me.

Comment Thanks to Rupradha and Padmaja Iyengar. I feel as if the HIMALAYAN ranges wishing a tiny rock.

Comment What a moving ode to one's parents! I loved and still love my late Amma-Appa, but never could express so well! Kudos, N Ravi!
