We find stability
In fasting, flagellation, and penitence,
We are insulted by the modernists,
Cornered by the rationalists,
Berated by the historians,
But our belief far exceeds our comprehension.
Our faith is beyond epileptic seizures,
Beyond incarnations, beyond exoteric messages,
That only a martyr can understand.
Our sublime song exalts us,
Helps us to escape our discourses, our freedoms,
And emancipates us.
