Rain - A Senryu Series

a raindrop trickles
down my windowpane slowly
another follows

little sparrows sit
on the window ledge catching
each falling raindrop

puppies splash around
in the puddles on the street
watch the doggies dance

after a hot summer
everyone welcomes the rain
with a sense of glee

all splash happily
until the rain gods become
over-generous!!
