by conspiracy theory.
Some Afghans being shown photos
of the attack on the twin towers
this morning, the planes
homing in, might in that brief
moment, absorb the months, the years,
of conflict; or who’s to tell,
in the telling gesture between
them, that even beyond a theory
of conspiracy, there is the hand of God.
