The thin moon
Has descended from heaven
To rest on human heads;
Amidst chanting of the Quran
It swells like full moon on mosques
Enjoys rustles of embrace
Bends and bows in harmony
To cheer up
Human love nurtured by prayers and devotion fasting and sacrifice-
For a silver earth, the joy of fitrah.*
