Theme: Melancholy

When Love Laments…

When love laments,
heart turns heavy,
eyes weep, vision blurs,
life dances to a cacophonic tune
waiting for deceiving death to takeover

When love laments,
serene sound of silence
speaks in syllables of soft whispers
in my eager ears.
and my thirsty eyes
soaked with thawed tears
sprinkle showers of
devastated dreams!

When love laments,
your pristine name
tattooed on my heart’s arm
fades to a sobbing stain
of melancholy memories

When love laments,
a bunch of roses
that once flourished in heart’s garden
now turn into sharp thorns,
pricking my solitary soul
and a blood-red poem like this –
gushes out from
my heart’s wound
and I cease to exist.
