Living God

With God all things are possible, it’s said:
more so, are all things possible
without God, in this age that counts God dead.

St. Paul’s, that great sarcophagus of God,
sandblasted off Victorian grime, today
host to protestors, who ask: 'What would Jesus do?'

Banks and businesses, the city institutions,
have life blood, corpuscular cash,
the circulation of society, the pulse of finance.

God from the Universe no more derived
is Science as we know it now,
its truth code, mathematics, God deprived.

Yet, there are those of us who say with filial
ease that God still lives, who live
by their word; for that fact alone, lives God.
