I shall be a moon among the stars,
ever lonely but carry specks of snow
to sprinkle on the flowers at night,
I shall be a morning sun
in the poor company of scattered clouds,
yet shall wake up the lotus buds to sweetly smile,
I shall be a rose among the thorns
But my fragrance shall not prick any…
In the battlefield of time
I shall throw away the shield and the sword
and relieve Jesus of the Cross he carries
alone over the years,
I shall carry the bundles of ignorance
left behind by a lonely Buddha
and happily replace the fractured bones
of a fallen Gandhi with fragile ones of mine,
yet shall move ahead alone with everyone…
