In the journey of life
When at crossroads
Why then one waits
Until it is too late
And allows the companion
To drift and sail elsewhere.
Why one abdicates
Someone else to have it
While one as meek spectator
Remains shy or scared
To reach out and take.
The loss is irreparable
The companion is gone forever.
For the rest of journey
The baggage remains
A load of guilt
Unfulfilled wishes and dreams.
An unfinished tale
Which one lives
Time and again
Only to regret alone.
Life puts everyone on crossroads. It is a fundamental evolutionary process of nature. Those who select the "right" path, evolve further, those who select the "wrong" path, have to make a few circles to return to the same point., and those who ignore the hurdles of crossroads end up either as hermits or vagabonds.
