Theme: Knowledge

Beyond the Knowledge

Beyond the radius of knowledge
what lies who can ever guess,
there may be a mine of gold
or a fearsome tiger to face…

Water does not know
it can quench one’s thirst,
love does not likewise know
it can unite many a heart

The little lamp does not know
it can dispel years of darkness,
the cradle does not know
it rocks a mountain of happiness

Soft words do not know
they can quell the fire of anger,
sincere prayers hardly know
they hold the key to His palace door

Kindness does not know
it encompasses all the religions,
sweet smile has hardly any clues
it rules all the territories and all the regions…

Comment Rupradha, your sweet words are music to my ear and heart. Silently you ignite a spark in me, and I thank you for that.

Comment Thank you, Siva for your golden words to appreciate my modest efforts to see truths in different spheres of day-to-day life. Your words are emotive and very inspiring, too.

Comment Each couplet has in itself an ocean of philosophical treasure.
I wish you would extend it to many more such events which selflessly result in eternal feelings of humans and leave to the young generations examples of building the right attitude in life to retain "Humanity".
Yes, It requires one to go beyond knowledge to understand the nectar of your composition.
