To this lovely little bird
Mini is the name given by me
Every morning she visits my home
To perch on my east window pane
There she chirps, tweets and sings
In a joyful motion flaps her wings
Transfixed I am often than not
What a divine pleasure to watch
If any day I ever miss her presence
Gloomy I am with an unbearable pain.
Remember from my early memories of life
Recalling from reminiscences of the past
Her entry in life was a pleasant surprise
She changed my world with a blink of eyes
A fairy beauty with an angelic smile
She had a voice of the nightingale
Every morning my eager eyes searched
For a sheer glimpse of her at times
If any day I ever missed her presence
Gloomy I was with an unbearable pain.
A wise-man had told me once
Love gives both pleasure and pain
Oh Dear Mini! in my lonesome years
Am I falling in love yet again?
