Working as a Geologist in the Geological Survey of India (Ministry of Mines, Govt. of India) for the last 19 years. Presently posted in Chandigarh, he is engaged in officially approved geological investigations and research work at locations all over Himachal and Arunachal Himalaya, India. He has also been a serious amateur photographer since 1985 and has received 1st Prize, 15th National Photography Competition, 2003, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, New Delhi. Over the years he has conducted solo shows of photographs in various parts of India. His other interests include poetry, fiction, filmscripts and screenplays. For his poetry he has earned recognition from Poetry, USA.
