Nathmal Sharma is a well known poet, creative writer, literati, philosopher, thinker, teacher and educationist of Merta City, Dist Nagaur (Rajasthan). He has earned his qualification as collegiate and non– collegiate student in many P.G. subjects (English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Education, Public Administration, Philosophy, Political Science) and is pursuing MSc. in Psychology from University of Madras. Merta City is recognized for the birth place of famous spiritual poetess and crown devotee ‘Meera Bai’ and her tutelary deity Lord Krishna or CharbhujaNath’s temple, & ‘Meera Smarak’ throughout the world.
His articles and poems have been published in Hindi and English magazines, newspapers, poetry – collections for the last 35 years. He gives credit to his literary teacher, Principal & famous writer Late Dr. Ramcharan Mahendra, Kota (Raj.) to encourage him for poetry. He has been living in front of ‘Meera Mahal’ which is now withered for 500 years a long period but has its ancient historical importance. Vishnu Sagar is always full of lotus flowers in rainy season beside it.
He is awarded with the best ‘State Literati-Teacher’ by Lions' Club Jodhana and Sarjanatmak Santushti Sansthan, Jodhpur (Raj.) on the occasion of ‘Bhartendu Harishchandra Jayanti’ in 2006. He is also adorned with an-eulogising degree of ‘Vidhya Vachspati’ from Pratap Garh (U.P.) .He is a member of ‘Meera Sahitya Sanskriti Aivam Kala Sansthan ‘ Merta City. The aim of his life is Shiksha, Sahitya, Sadhna, Sankirtan Aivam Sewa.
At present he is working as a lecturer in English at Merta Road (Raj.) and hopeful for his bright future to enter in the field of Internet Poetry.
