A graduate of IIT, Roorkee (1957), Harish Midha joined Indian Railways as an IRTS officer in 1959. After working as a Traffic/Transportation manager on the Central and North-Eastern Railways from 1959 to 1968, he was posted in the Railway Board, Delhi (1968-72) for designing of computerised systems for freight car movements.
Harish proceeded to the USA for higher studies in 1972. Completing MBA in 1974 from Florida (USA), he worked as an IT manager/consultant with a multinational financial corporation in Toronto, Canada from 1975 to 1994. In this role, he led a variety of projects teams for design and implementation of computerised systems.
Since 1995, Harish has been involved in research and teaching of Organizational Behavior and Change at a number of institutions ranging from University of Toronto (Canada) to IIT, Roorkee (India) and via management seminars in India. He has contributed many research articles in international magazines reflecting his rich work experience and analytical skills. A few of them which won special acclaim are listed below:
1. Rail Car Movements - A Balanced System Approach (Rail International, Brussels - 1972).
2. Innovation & Creativity in Small Groups (BMA Journal, India - 1995) acclaimed as best article of the year by the Bombay Management Association.
3. Spirituality as Sixth Discipline of a Learning Organizarion (OISE, Adult Education Society of Canada - 1998).
During the last few years, Harish has focused his interest on "Experiential Learning" in the development of Vedic Knowledge in ancient India.
