Zarine Hossain grew up and studied in Kolkata. She graduated in English Literature from the University of Calcutta. She loves fiction and Dickens and Khalid Hosseini are her favorites. She likes the fact that she is also a devout Potterhead. She is presently pursuing her Masters in Mass Communication and specializing in Journalism at the Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (SIMC), Pune.
She chose to take up Journalism for higher studies because writing gives her immense pleasure. This field was perfect for not only writing but sharing her opinions and thoughts. Doodling and painting is something she does during her free time. She loves reading. She collects travel stories that talk of places that she would one day want to visit. Photography is another area that has caught her fancy. At 21, she aspires to become a journalist who is creative and always ready to learn new things.
