Kanwar Dinesh Singh (aka Kunwar Dinesh) is a distinguished Indian poet, storyteller, critic and translator based at Shimla, where he works as Associate Professor of English at a Government College affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University. Winner of Himachal Pradesh State Sahitya Akademi Award, he has published several volumes of poetry, haiku and short fiction in English and Hindi, besides books in literary criticism. His poems, haiku, short stories, reviews, interviews and essays have appeared in many reputed journals, newspapers, magazines and anthologies in India and abroad. Recently, he brought out poetry volumes, The Frosted Glass: Poems & Ghazals and Epistles: Poems of Love & Longing, besides English translations of Hindi haiku under the title, Flame of the Forest and edited The Poetry of Walt Whitman: New Critical Perspectives and Hues of Life: An Anthology of Short Stories. He edits Hyphen — a biannual and bilingual journal of literature, art and culture.
