M. Mohankumar, IAS (Retired), began his career as a Lecturer in English. After joining the IAS he served in various capacities in the Government of Kerala, retiring as its Chief Secretary. A keen poetry enthusiast, he has to his credit seven volumes of poetry in English and one volume of short stories. His poems have appeared In most of the leading literary journals In India.
