Varadarajan Narasimhan has held prominent positions in various institutes of repute, and retired as Registrar, IIT Kanpur. Post retirement, he has been spending time in religious activities, particularly in the restoration activities of a 300-year-old temple at his native place, 200 kms. off Srirangam, Tamil Nadu.
