Muguras Maria Vnuck was born in Romania. She is a BA in foreign languages (English and French) and she is fluent in Italian and Romanian. Currently she lives in the United States of America. She is a literary translator with more than 30 books at her credit (novels, poetry, and children’s books that she translated into English, French, Romanian, and lately she has been translating poems from Spanish into English). Her books in translation were published in USA, Canada, France, Turkey, India, and Romania. She participated and organized many international literary and cultural events in New York, Cleveland, Paris, Istanbul, Canada, Bratislava (Slovakia), and Romania. During the pandemic she was invited to participate in numerous international Zoom events in India and Turkey. She is a literary critic focusing her attention mainly on book reviews and various articles that were published in different countries and were translated into English, Arab, Chinese, Turkish, Greek, and Romanian. She was an editor who ran with a great success her own International Writers’ Journal. Her translations were published in international poetry anthologies out of which the most important was Amaravati Poetic Prism – International Multilingual Poetry Anthology (2017, 2018, 2019, India). She is a member of editorial boards and a contributor to many international magazines and has been assisting writers in having their books published in USA. |
